About the Author

I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively and often much of this has been work related where time has been limited. I learnt quickly to find ways to squeeze in an hour here and there to make sure I always got to see something new.

Life’s too short and there is so much to see so don’t be one the folks sitting in the lounge at the hotel or airport.

Bangkok street food is a culinary paradise, offering a delightful array of flavors and textures. From sizzling pad Thai and fragrant green curry to savory skewers of satay and crispy spring rolls, the vibrant street stalls serve up fresh, authentic Thai cuisine. The aroma of lemongrass, chili, and garlic fills the air, creating an irresistible ambiance. Sweet treats like mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream provide the perfect ending to a flavorful journey. Affordable and accessible, Bangkok’s street food scene is a sensory feast that captures the essence of Thai culture and hospitality, making it a must-experience for any food lover

My Recommendations

  1. Breakfast delights: nothing beats street food breakfast – my personal favourite is omelette at Soi Pradit near Suranwong
  2. BBQ Seafood: Across most of Bangkok you will find vendors offering freshly BBQ’d seafood. Sit on a plastic stool and enjoy.
  3. Mango Sticky Rice: Quintessential bangkok street food. My personal favoutite is Mae Varee Mango Stick Rice at 1 Thong Lo
  4. Crab Omelette: Jay Fai has made the crab omelette famous but there are so many options around town. Don’t go for fame – try very local.
